Ebony Spleenwort is an evergreen native fern which typically grows on rocky wooded ledges, rocky slopes and mossy banks.Plant have both arching, pinnate, somewhat glossy, dark green sterile fronds and erect fertile fronds. Common name of Spleenwort refers to medicinal value once attributed to the plant.
