Coreopsis tinctoria
Plains Coreopsis
Lots of yellow flowers with red centers bloom from from June to September. Flowers are usually 1" across and very showy making this an excellent choice for Midwest gardens. Nicely textured leaves are deeply divided into narrow leaflets. This is a good cut flower and good seed source for birds.
