Smilacina stellata (False Solomon's Seal)

Slender, gracefully arching plant that commonly grows in shady places, particularly under oaks. Flowers are in a raceme followed by white berries. A spring ephemeral, the plants become dormant in the summer when no rain fall occurs and dies to base to emerge again in the spring.
