Common Name: Eastern Gama Grass
A warm season, clump-forming grass with leaf blades that are gray-green, arching and narrow. May through September, 10 inch long purple and orange flower spikes arch above the blades. It naturalizes though self-seeding and creeping rhizomes. This grass is excellent both for wildlife and for livestock forage.
