Common Name: Passion Flower
This vine, which climbs by tendrils, is native to southern Missouri. From mid-summer to early fall, it produces intricately fringed flowers up to three inches across that are purplish blue with pink and white parts. The edible fruit, up to two inches long, are egg-shaped and yellow when ripe. The fruit has a sweet pulp similar in taste to citrus.
