Spigelia marilandica (Indian Pink)

Rated as a "Top 10 Hummingbird Plant," Indian Pink is spectacular. It is an easy-to-grow perennial that naturally occurs beside streams and open wood edges. The flowers, which look like stars, emerge in late spring and are bright crimson and tubular. When open, the flowers have yellow throats.
