Eleocharis obtusa (Blunt Spike Rush)

This native forms dense tufts of smooth, upright, unbranched stems, to two feet in height. Flowers from June through August. Seedheads are brown, scaly and conical and provide food for waterfowl.

Additional Information:
Rhizominous roots fix nitrogen.
